Powertrain International (PTI) is a unique international magazine designed to provide information on developments and trends in powertrain engineering across the globe.

The vehicles of the future are being determined by profound changes in our thinking about the ways in which the automotive industry must respond to societal and ecological needs. PTI will keep you informed about the new technologies that are transforming every aspect of our vehicles, particularly the powertrain, the heart and focus of our vehicles and of our magazine.

PTI provides a filter for the bewildering profusion of information surrounding us every day and ensures that you do not miss what is significant and what can help you perform your own work with a global perspective in mind. What are the engines of the future? What new fuels can we expect to see in response to emission and fuel economy legislation? Where is fuel cell technology today? for how long will hybrids be an interim solution? how will these affect the powertrains of the future, and what improvements are occurring and might be achievable in current powertrain efficiency? PTI will seek to bring you informed opinions on matters such as these from those who are shaping the future.

The magazine is neither a replacement for today's technical journals nor simply a trade publication but will provide both specialists and general readers with insights on significant developments, whether in powertrain engineering itself or in the external influences upon it. We believe it can and will address a need not currently being met and invite you to be the judge.
